Practicing since 2013, she also serves as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, where she plays a vital role in educating and mentoring the next generation of physicians and surgeons. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Binello serves as Director of Clinical Operations for the Department of Neurosurgery and as Co-Director of the Neurosurgery Pre-Residency Fellowship, reflecting her commitment to academic excellence and professional development. Dr. Binello’s distinguished educational background includes undergraduate studies and advanced graduate degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she earned a PhD in Nuclear Engineering and a Doctor of Science (ScD) in Health Sciences and Technology. She subsequently received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed her neurosurgical residency and fellowship training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Throughout her career, she has built expertise in both brain and spine surgery while actively participating in medical and surgical education through Boston Medical Center and collaborative training programs with Beth Israel. An advocate for innovation and research, Dr. Binello plans to further expand her clinical research efforts while continuing to provide comprehensive neurosurgical care within one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers. Beyond her clinical and academic achievements, Dr. Binello remains committed to serving underserved populations through the mission of Boston Medical Center and to advancing the field of neurosurgery through professional leadership. She serves on the Executive Board of the New England Neurosurgical Society and is an active member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Among her many accomplishments board certified in Neurosurgery and leadership roles that have helped shape the training of future neurosurgeons.
